It's telling that this is an insanely thin point guard class. After Dunn, there's a huge drop off in talent. Supply and demand.

This is true. A guy like Wade Baldwin is flirting with the lottery.

Hey!! I actually think Baldwin is going to end up being a solid pro. The kid has improved every year he has been playing.

So did Eric Harris.

[Note: I know very little about Baldwin. I just wanted to give a beloved Golden Gopher a nod.]

[Boring Abe Story Alert...]

I played against Jim Shikenjanski after his Gophers career was over. He was good, not great. Little used Robbie Metcalf though... damn. That guy (probably because he handled the ball more) was dominant. There was another guy with them. A 7-foot black guy. My eyes grew large thinking about all the fun I was about to have with him on my team.

I signaled for him to spin off his overmatched D3 post opponent for an alley oop. He shook me off. I thought he was humble. Fair enough.

Nope. The guy was absolutely terrible. I've never seen anything like it (and I watched Eric Riley (michigan) miss several layups in a layup line during practice.) I'm almost positive the guy couldn't dunk. I wish I knew his name. I can't imagine he ever got any run for the Gophers.

Wow - I was expecting a tighter grouping on this poll. Looks like the only consensus is that the board wants Brown and Chriss to go on picks three and four.

I got a kick out that. Your experience reminded me of my college days. I went to a small parochial college here in Nebraska. One guy I went to school with was at least 6'10" and had huge hands. He was a theology major and was a super nerd about learning his Hebrew and Greek (my roommate Freshman year was a theology major). Anywho I played ball with him a few times when it was Christmas break or some other laid back time when he could show up because he knew people were there to just have fun. The guy could actually play. Had range out to 17' at least and could do some stuff in the post. I don't know if he could dunk but it was clear he wasn't there to embarrass anyone just wanted to play. He wasn't an explosive athlete at all but he moved pretty well. You would have at least wanted him in a church league no doubt. Keep in mind as far as I know he looked as good as he did and probably didn't touch a basketball for months at a time.

I'm curious to know more about "Other". I don't know much about that guy but he sounds intriguing. Lip what is his standing reach? Does he have superstar upside or is his floor so high he is ready for a natural disaster? With him being unknown maybe he falls and we can trade into a lower pick to get him? Going to go look for some scouting videos now.

Can I change my vote from Hield to Dunn? :) I'm so back and forth on these guys.
