I don't see them offering that, BUT the reason why they could hypothetically all comes down to how they rank prospects. They could believe that there's five top level prospects in this class and that it drops off after that. If giving up a mid-1st is the price to making sure you acquire one of those five, then it's a sound move, IMO. Just depends on their evaluations.

I can't see how any smart GM would make that stupid trade. Unless your name is David Kahn.

Well its not THAT ridiculous since Orlando gave up a future first rounder to move up 2 spots to get Elfrid Payton in 2014.

Buddy Hield out did Jamal Murray in his Boston workout. He hit 85 of 100 3 pointers.

I thought Rubio hit 90 out of 100 in practice...

I didn't understand how hitting 79 out of 100 in empty gym was a big deal in the beginning. They are basketball players whom are going to get paid millions. If shooting is their strength, they absolutely need to hit at least that many. I remember that even some Finnish ex-national team player used to make routinely 80-85 of 100. Or course international 3-point line is one and half foot closer but still that guy was not remotely close to NBA level.

I bet that Curry and Thompson would routinely make at least 90 of 100. And I remember that Drazen shot 25 of 25 about 30 years ago and acted like it wasn't a big deal.

A little over a week away (finally) and here is the latest DX mock draft. There are some interesting guys moving up including Malichi Richardson (who was a guy I liked in the tourney) and 1 guy really dropping down in Ulis.

Oh Right the draft. All this talk about nut shots has taken me off focus. I am intrigued by the Chinese Center - Zhou Qi. If we did the trade down strategy it would be fun to stash him and eventually see him blocking shots next to KAT.

There's some talk that the 20-year old Zhou Qi isn't actually 20... Some scouts believe he was actually born in 1992 or 1993, which would make him 23 or 24-ish. Ouch. I wasn't all that intrigued with him at any point during the process, but if that's true, I really have no interest.
