Official 2016 Draft Thread
Re: Official 2016 Draft Thread
Skal looked good I liked what I saw Ibwas wondering if that big guy was just going to house him but it didn't happen. I look forward to seeing more. UK gets after it on D that's something that isn't talked about all that much except last year.
Man I wish we could somehow get Sabonis. I do see why he isn't a top level prospect I think he may struggle a bit to score at the next level against length but I could see him being a key guy like Nock Collison has been for OKC for years. He could obviously become better than Collison but I value Collison a great deal and he did have some pretty good numbers when he was younger and starting.

Sabonis had a terrific game today. 21, 16, 4, and 2. Terrific offense and possibly even better defense. He is great at walling up. Really excited to see the Poetl vs. Sabonis on Saturday.

Not since 1980. No. 1 overall pick Joe Barry Carroll from Purdue. Thanks for asking that, m4gor.

Thanks for your research Cam. Yea i thought that number1 guys should be at least able to get their team into tournament no matter what basically, esp. Simmons who should be able to run whole NBA offense

Whoops on my part. Joe Barry Carroll did make the NCAA tournament. Saw that he missed his freshman, sophomore and junior year, but went to the Final Four his senior year. Holy shit. I don't know how far back that streak goes.

Great question. I wonder what the highest player drafted in the last 10-15 years that didn't play in the tourney along those lines.

Impressive. His rebounding numbers seem like the real deal. He obviously has a great nose for the ball and that's at least 50% of what makes for a great rebounder.

1998 former timberwolves great Michael olomakandi
citation from wiki
"During his junior year, Olowokandi led his team to the 1997 NCAA Tournament and as a senior he led the Tigers to the 1998 National Invitation Tournament. He averaged 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game his senior year and was the 1997-98 Big West Conference Player of the Year.[3] He graduated from Pacific with a degree in economics in 1998 and his No. 55 jersey was retired by the university.[4] After his senior year, he was drafted with the first overall pick of the 1998 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers.[1][5]"
so apparently he made that to tournament actually. I am afraid no.1 pick never playing NCAA tournament has no leading case as far as Cam managed to search. Maybe there is no leading case for this in whole NBA history.
Btw. Simmons is represented by Lebron James agency so he will be pushed by national media like crazy. Stephen A. and similar fools will actively work for his case :-)
Why i am talking about this, i believe there is bigger chance of him busting than how he is presented and we have our number 1 guy in KAT already anyway.
