He could step right in and be and upgrade IMO. He's very unselfish and creates well for others and has the upside to be a great defender, and appears very mature.

The biggest problem I have with Dunn is he is a 4 year guy (2nd year was only 4 games) that shoots FTs at just under 70%. That's a problem if he is gonna be a crunch time type player.

Watching these playoffs is just another reminder that the Wolves need some elite level shooting ability added to the roster. Hield and Murray have to be under extreme consideration here. I like Sabonis and Dunn but there are serviceable points and bigs available elsewhere. I'm not sure that elite shooting is as available. Grab it while you can. Hield and Murray have a chance to be that.

You do make a pretty good case here.

While outside shooting is important, I see the bigger need is to defend against the perimeter and Thibs has even hinted at that. Why not aim to improve both? Bender, Luwawu, McCaw, Baldwin and Prince are some names I like that could be very good two way players that could both score and defend from the perimeter. Dunn could be in that category too. Buddy is the best offensive player in college and he at least has shown some flashes of being able to defend so if Thibs thought he could develop into a good two way player, I would be fine with taking him.

Good read on Bender.

I am thinking he is the perfect guy to put next to Towns.

The draft lottery can't come soon enough. I'd be pretty happy jumping up to #3 partly because I like Bender.

We would be perfect for him. He could develop behind Dieng and Bjelica. It would make to much sense for us not to take him if we landed 3rd.

The biggest defensive improvement is going to come from within. Ricky, Zach, and Drew have the ability to defend at a high level and it's Thibs job to get them there. The Wolves really need to take the best player available and not focus on a specific need. Free agency and trades are meant for filling needs. Problem is that elite shooting is at a premium since there is a short list of players and they will be getting paid. Buddy and Murray are up for grabs and cheap for 4 years. Let's see how the lottery goes. I'm anxious to see.
