The Butler Didn't Do It
So Jimmy, you had Joel, Ben, Tobias, and JJ on your side, and you couldn't even get to a conference final. Maybe you should go join Golden State next year. Play for the vet minimum and maybe you could even get to a championship series. Did you take the team flight home tonight?

But dumb fucks who still support him haven't.

I'll admit, I was pulling for Toronto in large part because I wanted Jimmy to lose. I know I'm being petty, but I'm at peace with my pettiness on this matter. Jimmy closed out his brief tenure with the Wolves as a classless jerk. And that was after alienating half the Bulls locker room before Thibodeau brought him here. So I'm happy the Raptors won. In the meantime, it will be interesting or see where Jimmy ends up.

You weren't being petty at all. Appreciate the pride you have in OUR team.

Re: The Butler Didn't Do It
Rooting against Jimmy doesn't change the current state of the Wolves. All it does is temporarily fulfill some emotion within yourself. If you need that, then by all means, but some of us were fans of the player before he was traded to Minnesota and will continue to be fans of him after. And there is nothing wrong with either course or action.
PS: Jimmy was solid in the Conference Finals -- struggled in Game 1 -- and made a tough game-tying layup last night that was huge before Kawhi got the shooter's roll to win it.
The timing of this thread is more confusing than anything.

I was cheering for Toronto also and against Butler. I'll also mention that Embiid while a good player annoys me. Regardless of all that what a game! I watched most of the 2nd half it was super enjoyable to watch. Both teams going back and forth etc.
This offseason is gonna be super interesting. What happens with the Celtics? Sixers? Toronto? GS? It could be chaos depending on a few decisions players make. Meanwhile there was chatter Brett Brown's job was in jeopardy...weird I don't get it.

It really is to bad. As one of the NBA ambassadors, you pull for him. I am surprised the league didn't make it happen.

What's interesting about that series was... the hero was Kawhi Leonard.
Another selfish malcontent who kept an NBA fanbase hostage.

I've never heard him characterized in that manner.
