2nd round of their draft had some former Wolves.

8 Brandon Rush

10 Craig Smith

If Craig Smith plays in this league I'm gonna have to watch. OH...boy that team (The Enemies) Captain is Gilbert Arenas they picked Royce White and Craig Smith?!?!?!? Its all PGS!!!! lol

I always had a soft spot for Royce. He is a year older than me (so you now know my age) and his team at Hopkins was arguably the best Minnesota high school team of all time. 7 D1 basketball players. My team got upset in the section semis or would of had a good shot at playing them at state.

Also I work in the mental health field so I can emphasize with his anxiety issues (he had made mistakes in life though)

Oden would be our best defensive big.

Agree, that Hopkins team was something else. I'm about 10 year older, now you know my age! I also played MN high school hoops. I prolly saw about 10 of their games that year. I've been following HS hoops pretty closely ever since that team, the talent in the state since then has been great, making it fun to follow and attend random games. I attend plenty of wolves and gopher games, I find a competitive HS game much more enjoyable. I also work in the mental health field, it's too bad White couldn't find his way in the NBA, but that lifestyle is difficult.

I heard a rumor one of the reason Royce transferred to Hopkins is he pretty much got kicked out of Delasalle is one day Royce didn't wear his uniform to school. The teacher told him to go to the office and Royce responded by saying "b*tch do you know who I am, I am Delasalle"

Also at that state championship game Hopkins student section was ruthless. After the 1st bucket against Minneapolis Washburn they chanted "this ones over", Washburn's PG was a Hopkins transfer and that chanted "we didn't want you". It was a really fun game though Sam Downer for Washburn was a stud and played a Gonzaga and it was back and forth game but Hopkins was so good.
