Sixers trading 2 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks + shamet for an expiring max deal or near max guy in harris tells me that they may not want butler back next season as much as they say.

That would be 2 max deals that they would add to the payroll in addition of embiid's and simmons after next season. Unless they think they can win it all this season, that is a lot of assets to throw at an expiring at the deadline. Jimmy may not get his supermax and back with philly next season.

Two games ago... the telecast kicked off with a discussion about how the Wolves concentrated on beating the Nuggets by keeping them off the offensive glass.

Losing the battle on the offensive glass was the key to the loss.

And if we needed more evidence that athletes just speak in meaningless platitudes... Taj Gibson was full of them before the Grizzlies game about being "poised" and "locked in" and how "meaningful" every game was... and then he went out and arguably played the worst game of his career.

Dead Team Walking.

Tobias Harris to 76ers. Seems like a good fit for the team.

This is what I'm afraid of for my Bucks. Other Eastern teams beefing up and the deer afraid to upset their chemistry. And if you know anything about the history of the NBA, you know the Bucks are going to get jobbed in the playoffs. They have to be significantly better than the competition to overcome their market. Adam Silver is world's better than David Stern, but Milwaukee vs Denver isn't happening.

How about Jason Smith and a 2nd round pick to the Wolves for Tolliver?

He wouldn't see the floor for the Bucks

I'm not sure what kind of deals you were looking for. Meanwhile the Bucks did a Stanley Johnson Thon swap. Both are change of scenery guys but Stanley is a much more experienced player at least.

Stanley gives an already good defensive team another real physical defender. Not sure if he is equal value for Maker, but they weren't using Thon anyway. Johnson will get minutes, hopefully at the expense of Ilyasova.
