I'm holding out for SP, but I like Monster as well. Monster having his go to move (the slow step back) being hurt by him having achy knees might allow him to drop to us. I know Lip and Cool have some off the court issues, but maybe they'll overcome their love of doobies.

I asked my wife, she said I never had any skill, and if possible I have less now.

Yeah she told me that too:).

How about UCF? Anyone like anyone on that team?

Is Tacko Fall an NBA player? 20 years ago he would have been, but in today's NBA I am not sure. Would he be valuable as a specialist?

You just have to treat him like Boban at that size. They give you bench minutes and are highly efficient, but just won't be able to give you starters minutes. So to me that's worth a late first round pick.

I was thinking he would be a good guy to take a flyer on in the second round.

Would he be a guy that could provide 20 minutes a night in the NBA bursts?

He's really raw and lacks "small area quickness". For example, he could be an absolute killer roll man, but he's really slow - almost lackadaisical - in his move to the hoop after setting a screen. Defensively, he hangs back playing center field basically and would struggle big time with ICE/hard hedge/switching concepts and execution.

I'm sure someone will give him a good look in the NBA, but he is absolutely NOT ready for a regular rotation role at this time.

Yep. And unlike Boban, Tako dosen't have the girth that Boban has and Boban has struggled to get regular minutes.

He doesn't have a jump shot and is a terrible free throw shooter.

He is just tall and would get dominated in PnR.

He'll get a look in summer league but I'll be shocked if he ever sees an NBA minute. Like Jordan Murphy, Eathan Happ, Casiusis Winston great college players but wont make any impact in the NBA

Boban is a beast. He is like 3x stronger is also quicker and knows how to play. Tacko Fall needs to go somewhere and keep playing basketball like the G-league or overseas. I think it was Grant Hill on the broadcast that said until the last year or so Tacko really didn't know how to play. His size gives him a chance. Honestly I think Jordon Murphy has a better chance of helping a team immediately than Tacko. Long term? IDK. Murphy has enough size girth effort and skill to just go out there and crash around...and probably not get burned too bad when he switches onto smaller players.

As for other guys...Aubrey Hawkins...was that game just a fluke or can that dude actually ball? UCF...that school has figured out how to be a factor in major college sports.

It doesn't get bigger and more athletic than Zion even at the NBA level and Tacko legit deterred Zion from going to the hoop at times in that game. You just don't need to be that quick and athletic at 7'6 to be a defensive presence. There also just aren't that many guys who can kill you shooting off the dribble in the PnR where he needs to jump out on them in that action especially when you factor in him playing against bench guys for the most part. I think people are overthinking it. He's 7'6 270 with an 8 foot wingspan. That's not a twig that's gonna get pushed around. He'll be able to hold his ground and be a defensive anchor for a second unit and get really easy buckets on offense just due to his size.

His problem is the same age at KAT and still in college.
