Gersson made it pretty clear in last night's press conference that he's looking to make a deal for a defensive big. The extra $4.8M and additional 2nd round pick next year from the Rubio deal can help him accomplish that objective. The extra salary space will allow the Wolves to absorb more salary in a deal without exceeding the luxury tax and that will, in turn, open up more potential deals which would otherwise be foreclosed because of salary constraints. The extra second round pick will allow the Wolves to include another sweetener in any outgoing trade package.
Here's the question for everyone: Which of the following will the Wolves most likely end up getting in a trade this summer? You can supplement your answer by listing three more you think would be realistic trade acquisitions for the Wolves this summer and what the Wolves would likely have to give up to get each one.

I think he has his sights on Turner. Collins, Baynes, and Markkanen could be other targets

I agree. I noticed that Indiana was loading up on bigs yesterday. I think it's clear they're looking to trade him this summer and I'd be surprised if Myles Turner starts with season with Indiana Pacers. I don't have a good sense of the market for him right now. So it's hard to speculate on what the Wolves would have to give up to get him or if the Wolves even have what it takes to get him relative to what other interested teams are able and willing to offer.
Right now, I'm thinking that Beasley and Juancho would be enough. The question is whether that's a price worth paying giving Turner's durability issues over the years as well as his recent toe surgery that will likely keep him out of action the first couple months of the season.

Dallas seems to have a bit of a logjam with bigs between Porzingas, WCS, Powell, and Kleber. That's like $55M tied up between those four!
I'd probably be OK if we were able to trade for any one of WCS, Powell, or Kleber to give us some solid minutes as a big next to KAT. I can't believe the price would be too high.

Miles Turner for me. Can start at PF and play significant minutes next to KAT. Shot Blocker who can hit an outside shot.
Would offer Malik Beasley and lottery protected 1st if necessary or Naz Reid, not both.
DLO - Edwards - McDaniels - Turner - KAT starting lineup. That is a great balance of offence and defence.

WCS is a team option for just over 4 million so they could just let him go. The Wolves will have a trade exception would you rather have him than what might be available in FA?

Coach Finch (Rooster) was in Raptors system, He must established some players connection and Chris Boucher (dragon) was his best friend that can shoot 3 at 38% last season. Who would Wolves give up? Beasley is odd man out.
