Are all NBA players instructed to fall on every shot now? And wow. Reggie Jackson just got some quick buckets.

Have to credit the Clippers for a gutsy, elite performance tonight in a backs-to-the-way game at Phoenix. I thought Ayton was pathetic tonight. Lazily tapping the ball instead of pulling it down strong, letting smaller Clipper players snatch rebounds and make him look like he was standing still. If I were his head coach, he'd be getting an earful from me right now. But credit the Clippers for a great effort and an impressive short-handed win.

With Kawhi out, the Suns are definitely the more talented team of these two. But the Clippers, with Beverley, Morris, Jackson and George are mentally tougher. The Suns talent might win out in the end, but I wouldn't bet against the Clippers right now.

These west coast games end too late for me, I'm praying the Clippers win tomorrow so I can watch a spicy Friday game 7!

Ty Lue continues to impress me. He seems to bring out the best in whatever players he has and finds ways to dig out of these deep holes.

Newly impressed for me.

I always thought he was a benefactor of the LeBron James experience. But making it even to 6 games of the WCF with this team has been impressive.

He keeps making adjustments that work.

I think going through the LeBron James/Cavs crucible probably helped him as a coach. He had Love, Irving, and LeBron back in '16. Love literally struggled with mental illness; Irving is about as flaky as they come; and LeBron has more gravitas as a player than any NBA coach. Don't forget that team was down 3-1 to the greatest team ever assembled and came back to win. You just can't count this guy out.

Honest to God, I get more frustrated watching the Bucks than I do the Wolves. So sloppy, so stupid. They should easily put these Hawks away in 5, but they can't stand prosperity.

The war of attrition continues as Giannis exits the game with a hyperextended knee. I hope he's OK. He's my favorite player in the League. The Hawks have better depth and, in my view, a much better head coach.

Oh yeah, it's a coaching mismatch. It shows how dubious coach of the year awards are. They really play dumb a lot of the time. But another problem with the Bucks team is they don't shoot it as well as they did the previous couple years. Not having Divencenzo hurts, but I think they also miss George Hill, Kyle Korver, and Nikola Mirotic. Middleton can get hot, but they don't really have any consistent shooting. Holiday is an upgrade from Bledsoe but you can't count on him to shoot consistently. I cringe every time Giannis or Lopez let go with a 3 pointer. They have capable shooters but no one you know is going to give it to you most nights.

Yep. I've noticed the lack of shooting. They definitely miss the guys you mentioned. And Giannis should never shoot a three-pointer - not ever!

Perimeter shooting is so critical to success in today's NBA. And not just three point shooting. We've seen the importance of mid-range jump shots and floaters throughout these playoffs from Chris Paul, Booker, Trae Young, Kawhi Leonard and others.
