The Wolves are in a critical stretch fighting to hold onto 7th place and potentially move up to 6th or 5th to avoid the play-in tournament. Anthony Edwards remains sidelined with tendinopathy while Beverley continues to be questionable for just about every game with various ailments, including a persistently sore ankle. McKinley Wright remains out with an injured elbow. And as we all know, we continue to lack adequate size and defensive rebounding as we have all season.
The Wolves can't address all of these issues and some of the void created by these injuries can be filled from within by Nowell and McDaniels stepping up. So far those two have stepped up admirably. Nevertheless, the combination of all these things cries out for the Wolves front office to fill the team's open roster spot. It's now March and according to Gupta that means the Wolves can sign a vet-minimum player without risk of exceeding the luxury tax threshold. Monroe is still available and showed in his short stint here that he still has some game and can help this team. Moses Brown, a huge athletic body who has proven to be a terrific rebounder at the NBA level, remains available. I haven't scoured list of free agents or G-League options, but there are probably other choices as well. I've praised Gupta for his patience. But at some point he has to do something.
Time to Fill the 15th Roster Spot
Re: Time to Fill the 15th Roster Spot
I think it was Jon K that responded to someone on Twitter a few days ago that the Wolves were looking toward the middle of March before adding someone due to Lux tax concerns. We may have to wait another week till we get this spot filled.
Lip you kinda bring up a worthwhile point that the Wolves at the moment are actually getting a bit scare on the perimeter. Like you said they are fine for now but if there was another guard injury...maybe the Wolves could look for another perimeter player.
I think it's likely that the Wolves probably told Nathan Knight when they signed him he would be with them for the whole season so he would get the maximum amount of money he can get as a 2-way player. He played a game for Iowa then ended up playing the same day against OKC. That was his only game in the G-league and he filled up the stat sheet (not all good). Would we feel more interested in seeing him play NBA minutes if needed if he was putting up 27-12 or whatever in the G-league?

Yeah, not sure what they will ultimately do. Dane Moore strongly indicated on his podcast that there will be a legit big added this offseason and someone that may actually be good enough to displace Vando from the starting unit.
Re: Time to Fill the 15th Roster Spot
Not sure if anyone has posted this in some other thread, but the Cavs signed Moses Brown to a 10-day contract a few days ago. I missed opportunity for the Wolves in my view.

Cavs love super big guys apparently. They let Tacko Fall go so they HAD to get another really large human being. :)

Then we should sign Tacko. :)
