The playoffs should be interesting (if the Wolves make it).

Teams have more time to prepare vs. their opponent and create game plans to stop them.

Beasley getting 17 three pointers off vs. a desperately tanking team is a far cry from a good team and coaching staff just instructing its much better players to "close out and make him drive... make him prove to us he can do it."

In the playoffs, decent or even sorta good players get played off the floor for many different reasons. Is there anybody here who doesn't see that as a possibility with Beasley?

Their salaries combine for $28.6M next season, which is enough salary to match a number of max players for trade purposes, but not all. Hopefully, that answers your question.

Not to mention the way good playoff teams are constantly trying to force a defensive switch by the opponent whereby their weakest defender is switched onto the other team's best perimeter scorer/playmaker. Beasley would be the #1 target for this tactic.

Edit: The same would apply to Nowell by the way....he has not demonstrated superior defensive chops to Beasley yet IMO, but he *seems* like he could improve and eventually be a slight upgrade in that department.

I would hope neither of those guys are playing much in the last 5 minutes or so of the game when teams really try and attack weak players.
