UNC's guards should have shot more.

I thought Love took some horrendous shots throughout the game. I didn't realize Davis also shot that poorly but I don't remember him basically dribbling around before jacking up a prayer beyond the 3 point line multiple times he was attacking more and did get to the line 5 times. Both teams had stretches where their defense was really good and made the other team really struggle to get anything. It was not a pretty game right down to the end but I enjoyed it.

Caleb Love shot 31.6% fg as a freshman. 37.1% this season.

He hadn't shot above 50% in three months... until the Duke game.

Duke players and fans are probably still grousing about that fluke game from Love. He looked awesome for one half of that game (9 - 11 fg in the 2nd half).

[Note: Love was 5 - 24 fg last night, with 2 assists and 4 TOs. Now I know why Bacot gets 20 rebounds a game.]

Damn look at that improvement from last year tho!!!

That 2 point percentage is pretty tough but he made improvements over last year...ok maybe now I get why he he was jacking up some of those 3's. Lol

I know you were joking but UNC was 65th in offensive rebounds. They were 2nd in defensive rebounds which is flipped from what they were the precocious year. Bacot upped his rebounding rate this year compared to previous seasons.

It will be interesting to see if Hubert Davis can continue to have success as the coach at UNC. I bet he can still shoot.

Davis is a victim of his era.

He was a career 44% three point shooter. He's probably scoffing at Malik Beasley right now...

By the way, I love how the title game pit UNC vs. Kansas. "Classy" programs:

- UNC recently skated from its academic fraud case... in large part after UNC paid $18M in legal fees and non-cooperative officials to drag the process for so long that it sorta just went away.
- Kansas is still under investigation... although in a comical alibi... they're claiming Adidas bagmen gave recruits money with no knowledge of it... despite text messages, frequent dinners, testimony and other factors.

Word on the street is that the NCAA will enact revenge by going after the Akron Zips or Tenn-Chattanooga or some other mid-tier program. That'll show those bluebloods not to mess with the NCAA!

Interesting points Abe. I believe the Kansas angle. Adidas has always seemed shady. I mean their logo is a leaf!!!

Abe I'm curious about your thoughts on what coach K said last week.

Edit: It just occurred to me that Adidas other major logo is clearly for a pyramid scheme!!! Burning all my Adidas stuff now.

To be fair... the Adidas reps are in prison. Bill Self will get a raise.
