Camden wrote:That's one of my favorite actions the Wolves run. Jordan McLaughlin brings the ball up the court and drops it off to D-Lo above the break and then lazily dives to the hoop and D-Lo threads the needle to McLaughlin for a wide open layup. McLaughlin's defender is never expecting that pass. That play has worked a lot this year.

Its either this or the DLO rip through move. You can even see it coming and he still get the call 90% of the time.
I haven't been to many games this season. But I was at this one. Great decisive win. Great atmosphere in the arena, although there a few too many Bucks fans there for my taste. :)
The Bucks were without Giannis. But they still had a lot of talented players on the floor today, including Holiday, Middleton and Brook Lopez. And the Wolves beat them by 20. The Wolves are a very good team. They still need to improve on the boards as they were significantly out-rebounded again today. However, they do so many things well.
Anthony Edwards was the best defender on the floor today by far as well as the best player overall. But everyone on the Wolves played well. Interestingly there wasn't any drop off when Beverley was ejected early in the game. The defense didn't diminish and the offense fired on all cylinders. It should be widely recognized among Wolves fans now that JMac is a very solid NBA PG. I like the way he and DLO play together and that dates back to the late season win over Miami two years ago,
The only criticism of I have for any Wolves player would be DLO's 5 turnovers. However, he was tremendous in every other aspect of the game. His high basketball IQ was on full display again today as he executed the offense and his shooting was on. I also liked his defense today. He's really turned himself into a very solid defender.
With the Mavs loss tonight the Wolves are a half game behind Denver and 1.5 games behind Dallas. The Wolves just need to keep on winning.

Yes Lip, we have sorely missed your nightly Game Reports. The pandemic and other factors I'm sure disrupted a lot of long-time season ticket holders' plans these past couple of years. It seems like the Wolves have gradually won over the fanbase and now it's beginning to be a hot ticket. I mean, they are just demolishing opponents at Target Center.
Speaking of fan enthusiasm, I caught this little clip off Dane Moore's twitter feed. I believe this is after the Laker win! It's was party time!
0.5 GB of Nuggets (6)
1.5 GB of Mavericks (5)
3.0 GB of Jazz (4)
I'm glad you added the Jazz to the list. They are embarking on a pretty grueling 6 game road trip. Things will get interesting if the Wolves can take care of business!

So I don't think the wolves will catch the Jazz because they are running out of time and they don't hold the tiebreaker but my buddy has the Wolves 120-1 to win the division before the season because we thought we were getting Simmons

A combination of a lot of things have forced me to sell most of my tickets this season. The good news is that it's been easy to sell them and that hasn't been true for a long time. :) But I've missed going to games.
I expect to attend the remaining 5 home games and playoff games thereafter fingers crossed). The pandemic seems to have cleared out some of the duds in the crowds who would tell louder fans around them to quiet down. I once told someone sitting near me who was complaining about some of us that he should probably stay at home alone with his pina colada and watch from his living room. The crowds this season have been generally younger and overall more fun and energetic. Now the arena is nearly filled every game. It reminds me of 2004.

Wait there were actually fans telling people to quiet down? Wowzers.

Yep, Monster. Seems unreal, but we used to have a couple of people in our section who would do that. Fortunately, they appear to be long gone.
