Wolves vs wounded Lakers GDT

Post by FNG »

With the Clippers and Suns coming up in the next 5 days, this seems to be the one chance for our hapless squad to avoid a 9-game losing streak and a 3 -10 start to the season. And for the 11th consecutive game, the NBA scheduling gods are doing their damnedest to hand us a win. Once again we have been given a gift of playing a team missing their best player, and we get a bonus gift with the Lakers having 4 other players out and their second best player (Davis) playing with an injured thumb. Austin Reaves has been a pleasant rookie surprise for the Lakers this year, so his hammy injury improves our chances.

So what do the Lakers have left who can play tonight? They have Davis, but he has the afore-mentioned bad thumb. They have Westbrook, but he has been positively dreadful this year. With his 47.7% TS% and his 5.3 turnovers per game, the Wolves want the ball in his hands as often as possible. But they do have the resurgent Carmelo Anthony and he is having a terrific season in his almost 30 MPG off the bench...I look for Jaden to be on him when he enters the game.

So even with all those injuries, the Wolves are 2-point underdogs. But as I said, the scheduling gods want them to win this one, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them steal one in Staples Center.

Go Wolves...let's end the streak!

Unfortunately, the Wolves are far too often the salve that heals our opponents wounds... :(

Patrick Beverley versus Russell Westbrook. Sign me up. That's always fun to watch. Maybe we get a scrap tonight?

After contacting Glen Taylor he agreed to my terms of 6 snicker bars to coach tonight's game. He wanted to only give me 4 but I look him dead in the eye said I would work hard and was worth 6.

I'm actually in the air on a flight to go coach this game as we speak. I'll be wearing the Chris Finch mask as a late Halloween costume.

The real hard part is choosing my coaching staff of three to sit along side me from the board. But with your help we can help make the Wolves 04 again.

I have to be in the head chair if I'm joining you. I've paid my dues.

Beverley
Russell
Edwards
Vanderbilt
Towns

Love it. McDaniels heads to the bench instead of being played out of position. Vanderbilt provides some desperately-needed rebounding. I think Beverley and Russell can coexist.

I thought you would like this move Cam. As your coach your welcome. I'm pushing all the right buttons tonight.

This is the Kat I love! Rolling to the basket, attacking off the dribble, attacking the glass. Complaining but not over the top and not pouting.

Love it Kat
