How do you guys feel about this metric? It looks like the best players in the league rank near the top.

It's extremely outdated and doesn't account for anything outside of the box score. Defensive impact is also largely ignored. It's serviceable at a glance, and perhaps in combination with other more reliable metrics, but I wouldn't rely on it heavily.

PER over-rates inefficient volume scorers that don't play good defense and underrates perimeter defenders that don't volume score. Or something like that. Basically it loves the counting stats - points, assists, rebounds, blocks, steals.
