GDT: Minnesota vs. Phoenix

Post by Camden [enjin:6601484] »

Minnesota begins a four-game home stand tonight against Phoenix. The Suns are riding an eight-game winning streak and get starting center Deandre Ayton back in the lineup. This would be a fantastic win if the Wolves came together and played like their talent indicates that they can, but I'm certainly not expecting that. I'd at least like a competitive game instead of a 30-point blowout. I feel like that's not too much to ask for.

Naz Reid is out tonight and Nathan Knight is on G-League assignment. Minnesota will be microscopic in the paint tonight.

Patrick Beverley
D'Angelo Russell
Anthony Edwards
Jarred Vanderbilt
Karl-Anthony Towns

Same starting lineup for the third straight game. I like this lineup, but I wonder what Chris Finch will do given that there's no Naz Reid or Nathan Knight coming off the bench tonight. Vanderbilt small ball five?

I haven't seen that, but thank goodness. I hope he plays well.

Embarrassing. Minnesota has an issue with one of the hoops. Remember there was about an hour delay for this a couple years ago. This franchise really is trash.

This is a our first game of the season against a team not missing a key player. A win would be significant.

Feels like the Suns are playing much better basketball than the Wolves, but it's the Wolves up four midway through the opening quarter.

I don't mean to pile on here, but I would of been way more impressive if Towns would of dumped it off to McDaniels for a dunk instead going up against 2 defenders for a tough put back on that offensive rebound.
