The Clippers have agreed on a training camp deal with free agent center Isaiah Hartenstein, tweets ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

This stings a bit. I think Hartenstein is easily worth an NBA contract and should have had more aggressive suitors. The Wolves would have had use for a skilled big like him.

Yeah it does sting a bit and quite frankly I'm a bit surprised this was the best he could do. Remember he opted out of a guaranteed vet min deal with the Cavs and now there is no guarantee he will be on a roster when the season starts. He may have overestimated what his market would be. He will likely be battling Giles for a roster spot. I think he will probably win that battle but we will see.

It's interesting that Hartenstein no Giles were the two young bigs with upside we mentioned as good targets for the Wolves. Now they're both on the same team at minimum contracts. I would have liked to see us trade Layman (with a 2nd round pick if necessary) to open up salary space to sign Hartenstein.

Doogie said that there is a mystery free agent who is well known and wants to work out for the Wolves. He will be in town the next few days, any guesses? I'm trying to think of some leftover players that were pretty good at one point

DeMarcus Cousins, maybe? I'm not sure who that could be, but I don't see Minnesota signing anyone else without making a trade of some kind first.

I could see it being Cousins. Kentucky connection with KAT and I'm sure he feels he has more ball in him.

I doubt its Cousins. I think there are a group of former big time scorers that are desperate for an NBA comeback like Isaiah Thomas and Monta Ellis. One of those guys or another guy who has been out of league a while Is who I'd expect it to be.

It's probably Tyreke Evans.

There's a good name to keep track of. He's eligible for reinstatement this season, although he hasn't applied to or made it known that he even wants to make a return. He's only turning 32-years old this month so I would expect there to be some game left in him if he chooses to continue his career.

Predicting JJ Reddick. Said it before the offseason started he will be a wolf. He has been really close twice
