Offseason trade/FA forum
Re: Offseason trade/FA forum
I have no idea who the mystery free agent might be. But there were reports of a Skittles truck parked outside Target Center this afternoon...

DeMarcus Cousins, maybe? I'm not sure who that could be, but I don't see Minnesota signing anyone else without making a trade of some kind first.
I doubt its Cousins. I think there are a group of former big time scorers that are desperate for an NBA comeback like Isaiah Thomas and Monta Ellis. One of those guys or another guy who has been out of league a while Is who I'd expect it to be.
Why wouldn't it be Cousins? The one thing this team lacks is an actual backup center. This team has plenty of guards.
Re: Offseason trade/FA forum
Could it be Rondae Hollis-Jefferson? He makes sense for the team as a bench pf.

John Wall and the Rockets mutually agree he will not play for them this year.

I believe John Wall can still be a pretty good player just not worth 40+ million over the next 2 seasons. One article said they are working on a trade. That seems kinda hilarious. I would assume that eventually he does a buyout like Griffen or Kemba Walker did. MAYBE he will end up being some sort of salary match in another big trade. He does not exactly fit what the Sixers need but if healthy he would be a nice talent as a lead guard they may be able to add cheaply (if Wall does a buyout) if they move Simmons. I'm a little surprised the Sixers weren't more interested in Kemba but the Knicks were ready to sign him and also that's going home for him.

I thought Washington had something there for a while with Wall, Beal, and Porter. Injuries have really taken a bite out of Wall and Porter's games. Those guys just aren't the same players they were in their mid-20s.

Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon has agreed to a four-year, $92 million contract extension, his agent, Calvin Andrews of Klutch Sports, confirmed to the Undefeated's Marc J. Spears on Tuesday.
The deal, which was first reported by The Athletic, includes a player option for the fourth year in 2025-26, his agent told ESPN. It includes $88 million in base salary and $4 million in incentives, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks.
