I think a deal has been made to ship Wiggins and sign Russell. If the Wolves end up getting Russell while giving up Wiggins and maybe a future lottery-protected 1st, I'll be happy. If nothing goes down, I won't rip Rosas. I'll give him credit for giving it a shot. I won't rip Rosas for not making a deal. I'll only rip him for making a bad one.
I agree with you, Lip... I'm starting to think that both Teague and Wiggins will be traded -- Wiggins to clear room for Russell and Teague because he'll be redundant and will have value elsewhere in the league. That would allow the Wolves to keep Culver, Okogie and KBD, and free Rosas up to do some value shopping for other FAs, and maybe resign Tyus if the market doesn't get too nutty for him. I'd read somewhere Rosas had some interest in Rondae Hollis Jefferson, who's coming off a tough year and would seem to fit as an inexpensive backup to Covington.
Gotta find some shooting out there somewhere though.

I've already accepted Wiggins is gone, please don't take that away from me!
Getting rid of the cancer known as wiggins though..... brings a tear to my eye.
Hmm.... IF they do unload Wiggins, I would think Teague would also be sent out and at that point I would expect them to have someone else coming back at a wing and/or PF position. I would just be surprised if Okogie and Culver started at the wing. Maybe it ends up being Cov at SF with someone else at PF. So many possibilities either way. It's going to be really interesting.
They've talked about not starting a PF, I guess making Covington the de facto starter there.
Yeah, mainly brought it up with the idea of Wiggins being dealt and the thought Cov could start at SF. Either way, I just hope they have flexibility in the roster, a rim protector who can play next to KAT and a PF to let Cov at least split minutes at SF/PF.

I don't think Teague's salary is enough to come within the match range for the 1st year of the max deal we'll have to give Russell. That I think Okogie or Culver would be the only roster player with salaries big enough when added to Russell's. So I think there's a 3rd team involved that will take Wiggins. Then we'll need to find a separate deal for Teague, which shouldn't be difficult. Again, he's a solid PG with playoff experience who is still near the top of his game. And he brings with him the added bonus of an expiring contract. The important question for me is what else, if anything, we'll be giving up along with Wiggins.
