Who do you trade dieng to? Its easy to think we can dump him by attaching a lotto protected 1st, but who will realistically take him?
Horford, vucevic, favors, lopez brothers, jordan, gasol brothers, valanciunis, cousins, WCS, ed davis and kanter are all available. Half of them can be signed for less than 15m and some might take 1 year deals. Clint capela is being shopped now as a salary dump. I will have most of them than dieng.
If we can clear teague and dieng and a lotto protected 1st for cap space to sign dlo,Im all for it. But dieng is such a negative now that it is easier said than done.

Every day and twice on Sundays.
There's only a couple of teams I can think of that could be willing to take on Dieng and Teague. Cleveland and Atlanta. Possibly Orlando or Phoenix if they miss out on the FA sweepstakes.
Cleveland would be my choice as they have JR Smiths partially guaranteed contract. We might have to take John Henson back but he has a 10 mil expiring contract and would be a handy player to have backing up KAT.
MIN OUT: Jeff Teague (19 mil expiring), Gorgui Dieng (15mil), 2020 1st pick (lottery protected) = 34 mil
MIN IN: JR smith (15 mil but only 4 guaranteed) and John Henson (10 mil) = 14 mil
That trade would allow us to clear 20 mil of cap space. After paying DLO an estimate 25 mil a season that wouldn't leave us much to round out the roster. Although I think we would still have the MLE and BLE to sign decent role players. Maybe Tyus and Taj would come back on those type of deals.
