I thought Wiggins was the new PG.

I might prefer Jrue Holiday over Lowry or Russell.

It would be nice to have a point guard that could play some defense.

Lowry actually has pretty good defensive metrics.

Lowry is 33, that's my biggest objection to him. Holiday is younger and he's the guy, I'd inquire about.

No I'm not interested in Lowry either because of age I'm just pointing out his defense isn't a problem. Honestly I would pass on Holiday too even though he is a really nice player. His price tag is going to be really high and he is already 29. He would a really nice player to bring in here but the reason he would be great here is why he is going to be in high demand across the league. I'm not willing to pay that high of a price for a guy at his age. He is a good addition for a different team. What we might be able to do is be a 3rd team to match salary (Teague) or something and MAYBE get something back or just open up a different spot for a different/younger player.

Chose your adventure! If next offseason (or even the rest of This season since this is theoretical anyway) which youngish PG would you take a chance on being worthwhile in some capacity? For this exercise let's say the salary is all equal and it's a 1 year deal with some ability to give the player a reasonable raise if they somewhat break out.

Kris Dunn
Dennis Smith Jr
Emmanuel Mudiay
Lonzo Ball

Did I miss any underachieving guys that you would have interest in? I know this list is pretty overwhelming so...how are the guards looking in the draft this year?

At first glance, I'm not sure Lonzo Ball should be grouped in with these other three guards.

Yeah i think Lonzo is going to get a real contract. He can play. The other guys have much more risk.

I sorta felt the same way but his stats this year so far especially the advanced stats are bad so I threw him in there. I agree in the real world he would certainly be the most difficult to acquire of that group but I'm obviously curious what other people's takes are. Any thoughts who you would pick out of the other guys?
