LeBron or Kareem
LeBron or Kareem
I love Kareem, his numbers from high school into college and all the way thru the pros will make your head spin.
But he never had to dominate the ball while carrying around a massive body like LeBron has. The guy is an absolute miracle.

He didn't have his own doctor from Miami, yes LeBron said he does have a doctor he keeps around from Miami. You think LeBron is not doing any performance enhancements? Even if he tested positive, it would be extremely detrimental for the NBA to reveal the results. I would say it is more then likely he does HGH, or Roids. I just don't think you can maintain that size naturally and stay healthy. It would be highly unlikely. Other guys eat right, work out, but not any are as muscular as him. Guys can pass tests as well, you just need to know when the tests are.

I don't believe in miracles, I believe in reality and hard data.
I just said the odds are he is using. I don't know either way but other sports reveal that players do use enhancements. Baseball of course (Bonds, McGuire, Sosa, etc....). Cycling (Armstrong many others......), Olympics (too many to list). Football (lots of players but no big names but the testing policy is easily beaten after you pass twice). NBA (Ayton I guess?). Hockey doesn't care either.

I can't say for certain what anyone is doing, but LeBron James has been a freak of nature since he was 16-years old. I wouldn't doubt that his body is capable of doing things that 99.999% of human beings to ever walk the planet can do. Take that freakish body makeup and pair it with an unrivaled desire to be great as well as the work ethic necessary -- and in this era of sports technology and medicine -- and it's not hard to give the man the benefit of the doubt. He is the greatest athletic specimen of all-time.

People believed in Barry Bonds and Lance Armstrong too. You know, genetics (steroids, lol).
You can get steroids at 16, plenty do. I would say the chances are probably 60-70% for me. Whiles others like MJ, KG, Kobe (insert player here) probably around 10-15%.
Allowing yourself to play at a later age at a high level is one of the benefits of using steroids or HGH as well. Don't be surprised to see monster dunks continue for another 4-5 years.

Re: LeBron or Kareem
There are players on performance enhancing drugs in the NBA. It's not the only sport where players are above such a thing -- especially since a lot more money is on the line for these guys with salaries + shoe deals + other endorsements. These guys are into sleep science, nutrition science, load management science, et al... some of them are very particular about their bodies, even going to Germany for platelet rich plasma therapy and other things. To think they're not going to take every advantage they can... knowing there's a very small chance there will be repercussions is beyond naive or foolish.
But the NBA has not implemented a very good program to catch performance enhancing drugs. Possibly strategically.

Re: LeBron or Kareem
Whatever. LeBron was and is a freak. Although there were people that believed McGuire, Bonds, Sosa, et al . . . most of us didn't. Their physical and performance conversions were unbelievable.
LeBron was like Shaq in that he had the proportions and athleticism usually only associated with more normal sizes, but was literally 30% bigger than everyone else . . . from a young age.
He works out like crazy, doesn't party, and absolutely eats right. He's only 34.

I'd be leery of making any claims about knowing for certain a player isn't using performance enhancing drugs... we've seen the story too many times. There's too much at stake.
But if it makes it easier to be a fan... I'm not knocking you for that. Maybe I'm just too cynical.
[Note: I'm not claiming James IS on anything. Not at all. I'm just saying I wouldn't ever say there's no chance that he's on something.]

Maybe maybe not . But should anyone be using that to form an opinion based on the chance that it might be true?
