Covington and Culver for LaVine, Markkenan and Dunn

Post by Lipoli390 »

LaVine had 24 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals tonight
Markkenan had 31 points and 9 rebounds
Dunn had 15 points on 50% shooting, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

We all know the numbers we got from Covington and Culver tonight. These two for the above three? Seems like a good deal for the Wolves to me? :)

Agreed, Thibs is an idiot. LaVine is still better then Wiggins.

I would have kept LaVine and drafted Markannen. Then in the next draft took (no Butler and Lavine out means Wolves are picking high that year) or traded up for Doncic.

While the defense would be bad, the number one offense in the league would be fun. If I were running the show-

LaVine
Doncic
Wiggins
Markannen
KAT

You got elite ball handing with Doncic and LaVine, and every player can shoot and run at a super high level.

I wouldn't have traded Rubio either. I felt like he was a leader for the young guys on the team.

Lol 3 of them are core pieces on a pretty bad team while 2 of them are supplemental pieces on an also bad team. So we'd rather be locked into a bad team for 4 more years is what I'm seeing here.

I didn't like the Rubio trade, I thought the fans were mostly baseless on blasting him for the TWolves losing while he was here. Though it wasn't horrible like the Butler fiasco.

The Rubio trade was meh. But I see why they did it. New regime... and Rubio had a pretty clear style of play (although he did change it up, ironically, when he got to Utah).

Thibs preferred a different kind of PG. I prefer Rubio... but it's understandable... especially after 6 seasons with nothing but losing records with a team partially built around Ricky. It's the same thing with Wiggins to an extent. It's going on 6 years. And it's going to be another losing season. Trading him might come back to haunt this franchise. He might be better than what the team gets in return.

But 6 years of losing wears on franchises... maybe they feel they have to change SOMETHING. And the most visible people become expendable in a way. The easiest way to change the identity of a losing franchise is to change the face of the people we've come to associate with said franchise.

- Coaches
- High-impact players there for all the losing
