Jon K: Both KAT and Saunders didn't play the moral victory card after this one. Saunders lamented how well they can play "when they follow the system."
I can't even begin to explain how tired of hearing about this "system" that's supposedly in place. It's a 'five out' scheme with little off-ball movement that's entirely dependent on dribble penetration and perimeter shooting for a roster that is absent players capable of either skill or ability. The way in which this team plays does not match the strengths of the players that makeup the roster and it's incredibly frustrating.
I am constantly seeing dieng and kat backpeddle until their heels touch the baseline. Then they do 1 of 2 things: they back peddle out of the play or turn their hips and lunge to try to swipe for the block. Do these guys not get it or is this poor coaching? I say this because i remember vonleh in the same scheme, he would back peddle to the front of the rim then get upright and go straight up.

This has been an issue for Dieng and KAT since they came into the league. It's amazing that Dieng especially has never improved in this regard seeing that his whole deal was supposed to be defense.
You are absolutely right that Vonleh "gets it". Stay square, wall up, and for God's sake don't leave your feet.

So essentially, they are benching the guy who gets it in favor of the guy who doesnt. Or we are both wrong and kat/dieng are playing it the right way abd that's why vonleh cant see the floor.
