IDK, just seems like whoever this franchise touches just turns to shit. Vets traded here gradually get worse and rookies drafted by us never improve. There is the occasional outlier (Love, KAT), but it never seems to move the needle in a meaningful way.

Due to the sorry state of the Wolves, various domestic affairs, and geopolitical unrest, - but mostly the Wolves - I am leaving the country to become a Tibetan monk. I just hope I don't run into David Kahn over there.

I've thought of this, like the Cleveland Browns. Whoever they draft, no matter who it is ends up being terrible or is good for a bit then succumbs to being there. Or gets in a fight and hits a guy with a helmet so he is suspended. lol

If the Wolves drafted Steph Curry (instead of Rubio) , Kawhi Leonard (instead of Derrick Williams), Giannis (instead of Shabazz) we'd still be as bad or worse off. I don't actually believe that at all but it is possible.

I watched about 2 minutes of this one. So I have nothing to add other than...

... maybe New Orleans was due?! I mean do you realize just how difficult it is to lose 13 straight NBA games... or even 8?

[Note: And I just read where the Pelicans played last night. That makes two straight bust games after a long lay off for the Wolves. I'm nearly all in on my "load management is a player-created narrative to get paid for doing less actual work" take. It's entirely BS if the narrative about needing more rest keeps getting usurped by teams mailing it in after long breaks anyway. It's a contrived gimmick that the media is lapping up because they need "clicks" and podcast subscriptions and it's a talking point.]

[Edit: Using a 20-game run (and a ridiculously lucky 4-bounce shot by Kawhi Leonard to "PROVE" that load management work is so much BS. So if that one shot fell out, it would have been proven to be a failure?]

I think it's BS for most NBA players (those young and healthy). It really depends on your age, size, injury history/overall wear/lingering issues. If you do overtrain and get injured continuous wear and playing can wear you down over a season I think. It makes sense that if you are not completely healthy and older, you are going to take longer to recover.

LeBron could for all we know be taking PED's so he at 35 can have no problem playing a full seasons of games. He's also not had many surgeries or injuries so even if he hasn't, the lack of high wear on his body could be less then others.

Like Tiger woods, he can still play golf, but he's has 4 knee surgeries, the back fusion. He said he can't practice like he use too. It's just a function of wear and tear. We all get old and worn down eventually. Take longer to recuperate and longer to warm up.

Pels are actually alot more talented than we are.

They can go 5 deep of actual starting caliber players. I mean some of their bench players like ball, moore, or hart are starters for us.

We have kat, wiggs, and cov.

People have high hopes for okogie, but i just dont see a starter there.

Unless kat and wiggs go kobe, we arent going to win many more games.

Here is what I'm going to say about this game:

He might not be great or whatever but ai want to see more of Vonleh. It's nice to see someone with some physicality out there. Dieng has mostly done some good work but man I liked some of what Vonleh brought.

KBD needs to get a bigger role. He moved his feet really well in this game and I want to see who he can defend.

We are a few more losses away from...play the young guys/tanking whatever you want to call it. I think they will turn it around to some extent but man that was a tough game missing layups/bunnies like monster does in Sunday morning basketball...
