Wolves vs Kings GDT

Post by kekgeek »

Chris Finch said he had a conversation with D'Angelo Russell this morning about continuing to come off the bench. According to Finch, both parties are cool with that, and DLo will continue to be off the bench.

Finch did say DLo's minutes restriction is now up to "upwards of 30"

Seems odd to me. If the goal is to ultimately see how effective KAT and DLO are playing together, wouldn't Finch want them to overlap minutes as much as possible and keep working on developing synergy together?

Seems like an overreaction. I was even going to tease Beasley for his poorly written tirade.

And then I noticed Moore's original tweet was a bit of a mess, too. Social media platforms generally suck balls... I hate what they do to people -- And how important they've become.

It seems to me that Finch is trying to do both...hide Dlo's defense by playing him off the bench to limit his time against the other team's starters, but also to play KAT longer stints at the start of the halves to maximize their overlap. Tough to do...it may mean Thibs-like minutes for KAT... but I think it's the right approach. Finch is a smart guy. Perhaps he sees the inability of the Wizards and Bulls to win because their "stars" are consistently outscored by the other team because of their matador defense. I don't envy Finch with the roster Rosas gave him, but so far I've been pleased with how he is getting the most out of them...as little as that is.

IDK...the defense has been in a tailspin with or without DLO out there. Whatever coaches come through here and whatever schemes they trot out there, it seemingly never sticks. Okogie, McDaniels, and Rubio are supposedly defensive players yet they are getting torched night in and night out. We were trending mildly in the right direction earlier in the year on defense, but like I said, it never sticks. 28th in the league now.

Luke Walton yelling from the sideline sure sounds like his dad.

The red sea defense on full display.

DLO playing summer league.

I don't thing we're making the playoffs

I remember the 90's when the product wasn't particularly good because of all the restriction of movement. Now the game has gone too far the other way, and the product isn't good either. Even the good teams can be hard to watch. There has to be a happy medium.
