Post by dane Moore says Ricky Rubio after arguably best game of season spoke post-game tonight and said his spirit was really down at beginning of the season. He credited one teammate for his shift in spirit over the last few weeks.... that teammate is Anthony Edwards. Love to hear it.

Great find, crazysauce. The first thing I noticed about Ant pre-draft was how joyful he is. He has to be a fun guy to have on the team, and I'm not surprised Ricky credited him for this. Just imagine how joyful Ant is going to be once this squad starts winning.

Jaden McDaniel's +5.9 net rating currently leads all rookies (minimum 15mpg)

Not the biggest +/- guy but doing this on a terrible team is encouraging

I think at least on the defensive part of the equation (Drtg), it synchs well with the eye test. I do think if he's suddenly starting games and playing 30 MPG things will regress a bit with him. Nevertheless, things are trending in the right direction with both his and Edwards play.

Kecker! Great find, that's impressive for a guy taken at the bottom of the first round. He's been pretty consistent behind the arc too, now if we could only start making some free throws. He has such a high ceiling, don't mess him up Wolves.

Lol. I'm with you, Cool, in pleading with the Wolves to NOT mess up McDaniels. I'd say the same about Ant. I'm excited about both of these rookies. They give us some hope, especially in combination with KAT and Beasley.

Not sure it belongs here, as this player is not going to win ROY, but thought I would add comment about Saddiq Bey. Many on this board wanted to move up in draft to get him, and ultimately he is who we all would have wanted to draft at 17.

Last 7 games he is averaging 14 points, while shooting 55% from field and from 3. Was 7-7 from 3 the other night. This guy is certainly showing he is a solid pick, and potentially another one that got away. Sounds like he is also being asked to guard some of the best players on other teams. Good, solid pick.

Its really hard, Bey has been really good. The question is would you rather have Bey or McDaniels because if they draft Bey at 17 very very very good chance Mcdaniels is not on the Wolves.

Bey a very solid player though. Good for Detroit, Isaiah Stewart has also been solid for them.

I'm taking Bey and would have done so last summer instead of trading for Rubio. McDaniels has a high ceiling, but Bey is more advanced offensively while also being a good individual and team defender. He also has a better track record when it comes to perimeter shooting. I won't be surprised if both turn out to be quality pieces for their respective teams, but I like Bey's offensive game more and that's the main difference for me.

I think that is fair, my main point is you can't rip the Wolves for not taking Bey at 17 then be happy when they draft Mcdaniels with the pick from that trade. (Im not saying your or hicks are doing that). It will be interesting where these players careers will go. I am happy with Mcdaniels and we will see what happens with Bolmaro. Who knows.
