The one thing in defense of guys like Young, Curry, Harden, etc. is that these guys first got really good at shooting and getting off their shots in tight spaces. Otherwise the guys guarding them would leave a bit more room for error rather than chasing so hard. So the legitimate skill of making 3s in volume existed prior to the "sudden-stop-and-heave" trick.
My hope is that some day Edwards becomes a foul drawing machine. He has the size and strength to initiate and take a lot of contact, but it's going to take time for him to learn all the little tricks.
