Cam - I wouldn't put KAT and DLO in the same category. KAT has been a consistently elite and highly efficient scorer as well as an excellent rebounder for all of his five NBA seasons. At age 21/22 he teamed with Butler to take the the Wolves to the playoffs. There isn't a team in the NBA that wouldn't consider KAT a max player. DLO, on the other hand, remains an unproven enigma who has had one good NBA season.
Gersson's decision to build around KAT wasn't his mistake. Gersson's failure so far lies in what he's actually built around KAT. What he's built so far fails to complement KAT's strengths or cover his weaknesses. With KAT out we're seeing just how poorly constructed this roster is.

I wouldn't either, Lip. Towns is easily a top-20 player, in my opinion, and has already earned All-NBA honors. I was loosely replying to doper's comment about wishing both Towns and Russell would grow to become great players by upping their defensive output. Overall, I agree with the direction and supporting argument you included here.
