GM/POBO/Head Basketball guy

Post by Monster »

It seems like people think Ryan is likely to get this coaching gig beyond this year. It's time to start looking seriously at the people that could be leading this team beyond this year in the front office. I don't think anyone really thinks Layden will be that guy.

Heinke...we already had a whole thread about him.

David Griffin we have talked about him some also.

Wolfson has thrown out a couple guys with ties to the organization.

Milt Newton. Familiar face and his family still lives in the Twin cities. Seems to be doing well working in the Bucks organization.

Calvin Booth. Another familiar face I think his family still lives in the Minneapolis area also. Denver has been pretty impressive with some of the players and developments they have made.

Other developments:

Supposedly Hoiberg is gonna be the new coach at Nebraska...I know it sounds crazy. I'll believe it when I see it but it seems there is real movement in that direction.

Suns contacted Mchale about their GM job.

This is the spot to say who you want or who you like...or just say why you should get the job. Lol

I guess I should say that honestly I really don't have anyone I'm dying to hire that's also realistic.

I heard that last week. I thought I heard he hated recruiting. He is the guy I would hire if they plan to keep Ryan around. I think he could be the face of the organization and would bring in the right people to help him.

I've heard David Griffin on the Hang Time podcast a couple times and he's impressed me.

I really like the way Griffen talks about basketball as well. Seems like a really in tune person.

I'd be pretty happy if we got him. I honestly don't think there's a chance in hell though. Taylor's going discount on this one all the way.

Is there a reason it won't be Kevin McHale? ;-)

The Bulls to Nebraska? Quite the drop off. Maybe he just wants a place to hide.
