I agree completely, Cam! It's about time the Wolves did something like this. I'm not expecting much, but you make enough moves like this over time and eventually it pays off.

If nothing else, worst-case scenario, he's a serviceable player that fills a roster spot for next season at the minimum salary. This off-season could leave us needing multiple vet minimum guys to round out the roster and there's no guarantee that those guys can provide anything at all. We've seen in a small sample size that he can hold his own -- defend adequately and hit perimeter shots. His deal is a win.

A couple games ago we ran a lineup of Rose, Reynolds, KBD, Saric and Towns and in my head I was like how do you stop this lineup if KBD is replaced by Cov. 2 through 4 are above average 3 pt shooters. So it's pick your poison, let towns work in the post or double him and have open 3 pt shooters all around.

Or run PnR with Rose and Towns with shooters all around. Don't know how you stop that

can we cut Jerryd Playless and CJ Williams and do this with 2 more guys please? Terrell can/should be our 4th PG the rest of the season and Williams is 29. Good teams look up as many low risk/medium reward players/contracts as possible... let's give this a try too:)

They probably won't cut Bayless because it makes sense to have a vet ball handler out there with a bunch of young guys already playing. If the other PGs were actually healthy it would be more likely. Terrell should absolutely be getting playing time though.

C.J. Williams is a 2-way player so there is nothing to gain by cutting him because I'm sure the deadline for signing new 2-way guys in season has long past.
