Crickets on Assistant front
Is there any news on who Thibs will have as assistants?

Zgoda had named several guys that Thibs was supposedly looking at a little while back, for what it's worth. Royal Ivey was one of them.
J.B. Bickerstaff would be the top assistant available if he can't find a HC job this summer, which is how it looks to shake out. I think it'd be a homerun addition as far as assistants go. Plus, J.B.'s still a young guy with plenty to learn. Why wouldn't he want to learn from Thibs?

With all the movement on coaching it probably creates a bit of a standstill because who is gonna go where. At this point I haven't heard them let anyone go from the organization except Sam so they have a whole organizational staff to get whatever work done they need to although I would think you would want your own assistants in on some of the draft workouts etc.

Not crazy about Bickerstaff, especially as lead assistant. Country Club and mediocrity is what comes to mind.

Okay.

We'll see how good Doogie is. Says Adrian Griffin and Ron Adams probably can't get out of deals. Says Andy Greer and Ed Pinckney are essentially good bets as is Ryan Saunders.

I believe Zgoda also said Pinckney. Some interesting names, that's for sure.

Pinckney would be a great hire. As would retaining Sidney Lowe :thumb:

I was really hoping for a shot at Adams, though knew he would be unlikely to leave while the Warriors are winning titles. I have heard positive things about Greer. Saunders should be retained. Still hoping we can get a good offensive mind in here like D'Antoni, Steve Nash or John Stockton. Layden has ties to Stockton and Stockton has been an assistant coach for his daughter's college team. I hope we also get a really good player developmental guy.
Re: Crickets on Assistant front
While the dust settles with all the other HC hires and subsequent assistants landing here and there I thought I would look a bit more into the guys that Wolves have kept so far. One guy I didn't know much about was Vince Legarza a player development video guy.
4 year senior at Miami of Ohio graduation in 2013. Voted co-captain his senior year (was the only senior on the team) despite based on the stats being a very marginal player. Did 2 summer internships one with Sporting KC and one with team USA. Worked for the Atlanta Hawks for 2 years after graduation before being hired by the Wolves last year. He worked with Kenny Atkinson (who took over as coach last year) as an assistant on the Dominican national team. So basically this is a guy that's probably worked really hard was a smart BBIQ guy in college and was hired out of college by a good organization the Hawks and probably will be working with Towns one way or another for a while. I could see him being a guy that sticks not that I am that invested in him.
