Just wanted to say when I was at one of the Braves games a guy had a Hildenberger Jersey on I tapped on the should and said I'm sorry for your purchase lol

Watching paint dry gets a bad rap. I'd rather watch paint dry than doing all the prep work (I don't like masking things off) before painting. Besides watching paint dry means you are done with the job.
I'm higher on Gibson than most but I also tend to give him the benefit of the doubt in that...he has probably had these health issues going on for months and I don't know what effect that's having on his ability to pitch. I'm not excusing the overall results which are clearly subpar but it's also a game where he returned I don't know if anyone was thinking he would come back and look particularly good. The Twins need him to be just decent to help hold onto the playoffs...I feel like I've said this about Twins pitchers every year at some point in the season. Ugh lol
Maybe Gibson will be able to manage his health issues and continue to have a major league career as a starting pitcher (not spectacular but Major league level) but if that doesn't happen not giving him an extension will end up being a smart outcome. I was personally on the fence about it even as a Gibson guy but it would stink to be locked into a guy that has a health issue (one that isn't typical to think about) that is an additional hurdle to overcome in being a worthwhile pitcher. The Twins rotation next year could be Berrios and 4 other guys and 3 of them could be guys not currently on their roster. Gonna be an interesting offseason...

Huge Win this afternoon! The bullpen was superb. Who would've thought a couple months ago our bullpen would be strength and Dyson can't even throw. I wonder who we throw game 2? Cleveland is going with a bullpen game themselves. I wonder if the bump Berrios up to today to try to put this division away.
Agreed. Realistically would it be a big deal to throw twice in the same day for a guy? What kind pitch counts did guys like Jark Morris, Clemens, and Nolan Ryan throw back in the 80s?
Thorpe started off struggling but even though he wasn't good he did enough to keep the game from being blown wide open and then the vaunted pen took over from there and shut the door. Graterol looks like a beast. I watched all of tonight's game. These 2 wins today basically won the division.

Yep Graterol showed why I think he can be the next Strausburg. I just pray the young man can stay healthy. The one thing I will say is his mechanics are so effortless and he stays long reaching his arm back. The reason why Strausburg and most hard throwers get injured is because they throw with a wing T angle. Which fancy way of saying that he doesn't reach all the way back to make a T pose in his motion coming home. Strausburg has had to change his motion because of this but wing T motion is very dangerous it puts a lot of pressure on the elbow and shoulder.

Interesting stuff...no pun intended. On the broadcast last night Morris seemed to insinuate that Graterol's power partly came from his lower body and...yeah calling him a horse wouldn't even be a good comp he is really strong looking in that area.
