The Athletic
Holy cow. First they sniped Russo from the Trib and now they got AP guy from AP. Might have to subscribe now.
Re: The Athletic
Wow I wondered if they could get Jon K he seemed like a great fit there but he seemed to have a great gig at the AP. The Athletic is the real deal folks.
Re: The Athletic
They also have Britt Robson from the MinnPost.

They're going all in and bragging about stealing the best guys they can find. I think it's $60 an annual subscription... but there are occasional better rates. Might jump on it if gets little less.

I used AP guy's 30% off code. Russo had a discount code as well I just don't know what it was. I'm sure whoever they get for the Vikings and Twins will have their own codes as well.

30% off is the best deal I have seen in quite a while and that's what they have right now with Jon K joining up. That's $3.49 a month. (Link for the discount below) The reason why the writers are saying they going to work there is they feel like they will have better opportunity to give fans better content. They can write short pieces or super long pieces. Whatever they want.

The deadlines are probably a lot friendlier as well. I would bet no more midnight deadlines for them to get in the next mornings paper.
