Tim, I tip my cap to your fanhood (and I hope your dog feels better).
The Warriors are not a measuring stick or anything we should try to compare ourselves against. They are the greatest team ever assembled (IMO) and we probably won't see anything like them again. They have three of the best shooters in NBA history on the same team!
Glad to see Tyus had a nice outing off the bench. I think Thibs has known all along that Tyus was his guy behind Teague.
The other revelation that is unfolding before our eyes is Dieng and Gibson's 3-point shooting. It started with Dieng late last season, but now Taj is starting to take and make 3's. We potentially have all four bigs in our rotation with the ability to space the floor. That is huge.

Are my eyes deceiving me or did we just be the best team ever assembled by 14 points?

Go look at the box score Lip. Their starters beat our starters in +/-. Our 2nd unit beat the hell out of their 3rd unit. There is nothing to see here in terms of the score.

Just looked at the box score. You're right. Looks like we couldn't stop their starters from scoring. So OK, we can't take much away from this game. But it's good Gorgui and Taj hitting 3s. Good to see Wiggins shoot the ball better. Good to see Butler's all-around game with point, assists and rebounds. I like seeing another 3 assists from Towns. Really like seeing a good all-around offensive stats from Tyus. Belly looked especially good in the box score.

Interestingly, Crawford has shot poorly in both preseason games to date. Yet, he seems to be facilitating. He looked good facilitating against the Lakers and his 5 assists against the Warriors looks impressive. Although it seems counterintuitive, shooting seems to be the first thing that goes as NBA players age. I noticed that a few months ago looking back at the stats of retired NBA players. The first stat you notice dropping off the table as players get into their mid or late 30s is shooting efficiency.

He's looked great being the main facilitor with the 2nd unit. It's been contagious also. Lip, it's two preseason games, I think you can pump the brakes a bit on worrying about his shooting.

Awfully salty after a win. I thought after the first that we really were better the rest of the game, both our starters and the bench. The defense really looked good. These guys have played two games together and i was pretty damn excited how we looked. Our three point shooting was great. Belly really turned it around and played a good game after a sluggish start. Tyus looked good. Also gibson butler and towns were plus in ratio. Dieng let his emotions get to him a bit but was able to get back on track. I was happy with that performance. Defense will be better and we are just rting to develop our chemistry.

I didn't expect Crawford to help us out much with 3-point shooting...after all, in his prime his 3-point percentage was below the league average, and he's far from his prime. My hope was he would recognize this, and concentrate more on facilitating than scoring...as well as provide veteran leadership. It's only been 2 preseason games, but there are some encouraging signs he may bring exactly what I was hoping for.
Yeah, really good looking box score. Lots of good things in there, with the only bad news being Teague's 3-12 shooting and only one assist in 27 minutes. But I'm not too worried about Teague, and he also is coming off a terrific first game.

I saw the first half. Our defense looked like last year in the first quarter, both in the half court and transition. Teague WAS awful as someone said. Belly must have played better in the 2nd half because he sucked in the first. When KAT shoots the three you expect it to go in. One nice thing I noticed was that our big 3 don't seem to have trouble playing together. It should get better as they get more comfortable too. Was pleasantly surprised to see they pulled away in the 4th quarter and won.

We have a lot of talent. We're not quite there with a system and ball movement. But everyone knows how to play. I have a hard time believing this wont be my favorite iteration of the Wolves. So many likable personalities on this squad, and somehow we managed to keep Bazz too. No way we don't make some noise this year.
