What You Would Have Done Differently
Re: What You Would Have Done Differently
I offer Wiggins, Rubio, and Aldrich for Butler, Lopez, and their 2nd.
I draft Dennis Smith and Jordan Bell.
I offer Taj 2/25.
I sign Shabazz to the same.
I offer Simmons 3/20.
Vet min still available.
Smith/Dunn/Tyus
LaVine/Simmons
Butler/Shabazz
Gibson/Dieng
KAT/Lopez

I don't know if acquiring Chicagos 2nd round pick would have been that easy. The Bulls probably wanted to include it instead of their 1st round pick. Thibs and the Wolves might have had a battle on there hands even getting that deal over the line.

I think you're right. Getting the first round pick was a coup in itself. Asking for more would have been pushing the envelope.

If Patton becomes a quality rotation guy it is insane to think of what we got.

I like the moves Thibs made as is. Getting Bazz for the min was a coup! The Butler trade was a coup!
At first I questioned the Ricky for Teague swap but after watching preseason I think Teague is a better fit chemistry wise with the current roster than Ricky. Jimmy/Wiggins/Teague can all be ball dominant players or they can play off ball. All are very effective in either role.
Ricky couldn't be that off ball type guy when needed. He is so 100% only effective as a ball dominant player that I think Thibs moved him for this reason. Also, I dont see a personality fit with Ricky and Jimmy. After reading that SI article, you learn Jimmy is a strange cat and has such a different personality than what the media has made Rubio out to be.

Why didn't Thibs do everything possible to get Jordan Bell? And I don't necessarily mean in the Chicago deal. He should be a Wolve, the fit makes too much sense.

And by the way, Klay Thompson is absurd. Physics says you shouldn't be able to have that quick of a release and be THAT accurate.

Nick Young is picking up where Klay left off. Some interesting lineups out there. PJ Tucker was looking like an old dude out there (playing center) but giving full effort.
Gordon attacking the rim tonight. Fun to see him back to something close to what he was earlier in his career.

Think about how the Bulls fans are feeling or are gonna feel about that deal if Bell turns out to be a pretty good player. I saw a tweet about how they traded that pick that was Bell for some money to help pay for Wade to play for the Cavs. Lol

This is what i was telling you guys this summer when most of you were pining for us to sign him. He was showing a lot of wear and tear late last season.
