It's simple, really. Somebody has to put the ball in the hoop. Maybe just as important, but somebody also has to be a threat to put the ball in the hoop. Minnesota's got Malik Beasley and sometimes Anthony Edwards that can do that right now. That's extremely problematic. Bucket-getters will always have value to some extent just because of this and that includes flawed players like D'Angelo Russell, DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, etc.

Of players who took 100 catch and shoot 3s last season, Okogie ranked last in catch and shoot 3P% (26.6%).

It's not his game, and a KEY reason he needs to be used as a screener more often.

Watching Wiseman ball out tonight is a bummer. And that's while acknowledging Edwards has had a decent showing.

Wiseman is really long. He really doesnt have to do much to intimidate players defensively. Edwards has to start making a lot of shots to match that kind of impact.

Wiseman has been solid but every big in the NBA has eaten the Wolves alive this year

Wow Edwards form looks a lot better when he puts all of his legs into it.

Ant has been better then decent, he's been exceptional. Hitting 5/6 threes. Finishing at the rim well. 23 points.

If you're just watching tonight, both Wiseman and Edwards look like great prospects. I guess that's not a bad thing. Too bad we have way more context than that.

At the time I was typing that Edwards had scored like 15 on okay shooting percentages. I agree he's moved out of "decent" range for the night.
