Camden wrote:Towns and Wiggins carried the load, but big kudos to our sophomores tonight. Bates-Diop and Okogie were great. The former of which needs an increased role. His time playing basketball in Iowa is over as far as I'm concerned.

Another game where Covington was an afterthought. We know he's streaky, but against tougher opponents we will need him to be much better.

I agree, Cam. The way Wiggins is playing this season, it looks like we have our dynamic duo. But as important as Wiggins and Towns were to the win tonight, you're right about the important contributions from Okogie and KBD. And yes, KDB has earned a permanent slot as a rotation player with the Minnesota Wolves.

I also agree with you about Covington. I do think he'll get better as the season goes on. I like his toughness, his defense, his attitude and his contract. But he's a guy I'd consider moving if the right deal came along. If this team is going to improve for the long haul via trade, then Teague and Covington are the assets we have to potentially make something happen. However, I'm not convinced we need to make a trade to build a contender around KAT if Wiggins continues to play the way he's been playing. There is lots of room for development of our young guys like Okogie, KBD, Culver, Nowell, Layman, Martin and Reid. Okogie and KBD have already shown marked improvement with upward trajectories to go with their considerable talents. There is also next summer's draft where we'll like have a pick in the 14-20 range as well as free agency.

I think Gorgui had some great moments tonight. He's only right in certain matchups but he's come back from the dead this year. Im happy for him even though hes not going to ever live up to that awful contract.

Personally I think he's flat out getting better, many other Wolves are taking there game to new levels from watching him play I'd say he is also playing better. He's really not that far off from being a really good backup Center, like a few small improvements and slight increase in 3pt % and people will start talking about him!

Culver will have those moments where you wonder what the hell he's doing but try to focus on what he's doing well and you will see many ways he can take his game to new levels. He's rookie, he will do some things that make you cringe but I really like this kid and think he will be quite the player down the road.

This game wasn't exactly awesome but they got the win and through a few bad stretches finished off the game.

KBD is earning a spot in the rotation. It sounds like Layman is going to be out a while so KBD can play that role and I'm fine with that. KBD just looks more like he belongs.

Culver is the same player but he is basically playing the Tyus Jones role as a starter. He isn't the true PG Tyus is but he is also more of a threat to score the ball on guys. He hasn't blown me away but there are intriguing signs.

Dieng is letting the ball fly on 3's but honestly I thought he played solid last year too. His numbers are even better though but the guy can play as a backup.

Wiggins wasn't amazing out there but how hum and other nice performance. I can get used to this the way we say Towns was just ok and he puts up 24-13. Yawn....yeeesssss!!!!

Okogie can just sky for those rebounds. Last year he LOOKED like a guy that was doing stuff and to some extent he was but the guy is ballin out on the boards.

Covington is doing his job. I do think they should be trying to get him more open/looks at 3's.

NIKE get Jeff Teague some damn new or broken in shoes. I'm worried about him wearing those old things.

EDIT: Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
