I missed this one thank goodness. The defense was good at least (??).
And gee, what a shock, the box score tells us that our two alleged shooters from the G-League, Martin and Nowell, didn't make a single three. We're cursed. I see Culver is really improving his shot as the season goes on too (eyes roll).

Hey, kbd was fantastic. He might be our second best pf in this 5 out system is what we are sticking to.
Vonleh and dieng were just getting in our own players path to the basket tonight.
Martin wasnt close on anything he threw up tonight. I give nowell a pass, he looked nervous.

As this team continues to try new players and see what works long term, they're gonna drop more and more of these games. We've had a super light schedule so far and .500 is the best they can do. I hope they have Bahamian home movies that will get them through the winter.

No idea why we play so poorly at home.

I wouldn't call the defense good, calling it OK would be friendly IMO. Didn't get out to shooters on a few occasions and Booker going at his man or in pick and roll diced MN up. PHX put players in position to play there best and operated with trying to get Booker in a switch and attack. Lack of FT shooting by MN made this one among other things a very hard game to watch.

I think the Wolves are tanking, all the players who missed this game, playing the G leaguers etc. I think they are not as worried about winning as much as finding out what players they have going forward, which I am fine with. It's like all of a sudden 4 players are out, all of which played recently, except Layman.
Getting your young players run isn't a bad idea, it's actually a great idea. See how you can improve your roster going forward. See if some of your diamonds in the rough can shine.

May be, may be not. I don't necessarily disagree that Rosas and Saunders are using this season very much as a process/culture building year. But part of the conservatism with giving guys personal days, plenty of time to recover from injury, etc. may be more about player health (both mental and physical) and morale, which they believe will pay dividends in more wins overall and making Minnesota a franchise that other players view as player-friendly.

When I say tanking, no they are not trying to lose of course. The coaches and players are trying when playing. It's just that they are giving players days off like you say. Extend their careers. Give the young guys some run to see what they have, give the young guys some experience. If they so happen to lose some more games, no big deal since it's more of a rebuilding season.
You can't just come out and say we are tanking. Because it's not good for fans who will buy tickets, etc. So it's more of a we'll sit so and so this week or this game and it just keep it going.

I guess what I'm saying is that I think they may use this approach even in a season where they think they can win a ton of games and make a playoff run. I view it more as the way things are going to be versus just a re-building tactic.

My only question is why teague and kats chemistry is so bad.
The pnr usually goes nowhere.
Teague doesnt pass to him in the post nearly enough.
3 years together should look a little smoother considering teagues the primary ballhandler and kat is the primary post threat/screener.
