My oh my how things have changed. All of a sudden we are a destination that players want to come too? What would we need to deal for irving? Gorgs and aldrich and a 1st?

First off, it is vitally impossible to make a trade for Irving before the season.

Even if you wanted to do wiggins for kyrie salaries do not match. So gorgui would have to be added and I don't think gorgui is the greatest player ever that trade would mean no starting wing and bench takes another hit and only vet min contacts to offer.

We can't trade teague until December 15th , so it is impossible to do a trade.

Now with that said we are seeing the jimmy butler effect, we have a player on team usa wanting to play with the wolves because of Jimmy. This has to be the first time in history that has happened for the wolves.

Also I think jimmy butler gets us in the D Wade sweepstakes if he us bought out. He is real good friends with Jimmy and if the cavs are falling apart increases the likelihood of d wade going other places.

We might not get these players but it is getting us in the door for the first time in history.

If he stays in Cleveland for this season we'll see a similar scenario that got us Butler. Thibs will play out the season with the roster, re-evaluate and if he likes the team development he'll keep them and if they underperform he'll likely make another blockbuster of Teague and Wiggins for Kyrie. If Lavine and Dunn had helped us get to 40+ wins I doubt we get Butler. We underperformed, Thibs gets Butler. If we underperform again we'll probably get Kyrie if he is still available.
