NICE!
I think he has incredible potential. As such, I'm going to assume he'll max out that potential no matter what I see on the court for at least the next 3 seasons before turning on him completely.

No real opinion on this guy, but I like the fact he plays on the wing and has paid some dues. We've seen other NBA success stories where guys spent the first couple years bouncing around a bit between the D-League and NBA teams before having a major break through. Unfortunately, we never seem to be a beneficiary. May be that will change for once.
Re: The Newest Wolf
6'11.25" wingspan.
Shot over 40% from 3 his last 3 years in college. DX said he shot 45% on all catch and shoot jumpers.
In 24 games in the D-league he short 46.7% on 3's on almost 6 attempts.
He turns 25 in October but has been playing pro ball for 2 years already so he isn't a complete rookie.
Downside: His NBA shooting percentages have been bad including a stretch of games he played a decent chunk for the Lakers.

Yeah, his rookie year numbers with the Lakers are pretty bad, but....he was a rookie. And it's hard to take last season's NBA numbers very seriously since it's such a small sample with two different teams. However, his D-League numbers from last year are great. On paper, he seems like the perfect guy for this type of contract.
Re: The Newest Wolf
He was the #1 overall pick of the D-league draft last year. It doesn't mean a ton but still that's something that he was regarded that highly at that level. I watched some highlights from the d-league and his college DX draft breakdown. I like him. He looks plenty big for a wing. He isn't a big time athlete but is smooth, can handle the ball some although he isn't going to get by people and his handle isn't tight. He can for sure dribble his way out of a paper bag. He can do a bit more than just spot up but you don't want him to be a high usage guy or anything at the NBA level. He is plenty long and can take and make contested 3's. Honestly getting him for a 2-way contract is probably pretty good. I saw Lorenzo Brown got a 2-way contract from someone. Something to consider is those 2-way deals can be upgraded to a vet min deal at any time if you have a roster spot available or you open one up.

Re: The Newest Wolf
His nbadraft.com writeup said his ability as a spot up 3-point shooter should ensure a long NBA career, and that he could turn into a perfect 3&D guy. Well, that hasn't paned out yet, but I agree with Q...he seems like the kind of guy that's made for a contract like this.
One oddity I noticed in his stats. In his second and third years in the league, he never shot a foul shot! And that includes a stint where he was averaging 16 MPG. That tells me he's not very comfortable putting the ball on the floor, and isn't much of an offensive rebounder...otherwise it would be practically impossible to not shoot one foul shot.

The oracle LST has seen into the future where Anthony Brown has played 3 years in the league. :)
In all seriousness LST one of the knocks on him from DX was he shies away from contact. From what I have seen he seems to be more of a finesse finisher around the rim. He did get to the FT like at a decent rate last year in the D-league. His value is gonna be his ability to make jumpers not what his FT rate is.
