Re: Good news about Patton according to Glen
Great interview. Glen sounded really well-informed and he provided a lot of interesting information. Some highlights:
1. According to the medical staff, Patton is progressing at the doctors had hoped and should be physically ready by the beginning of the season.
2. Glen saw Belly at Saunders' wedding. Apparently, Belly is recovering nicely, is very positive and should be ready for training camp in the fall.
3. Glen also saw Wiggins at the wedding and spoke with him. Wiggins said he's been working on a free things this summer, including his 3-point shooting. Glen made it clear that the the Wolves are not the source of the delay in getting a deal with Andrew. Glen said he mentioned to Wiggins that there's an offer on the table (a max offer). He said, Wiggins "just game him that big smile." Glen elaborated that the delay rests with Wiggins' agent. Glen seemed at a loss to explain why Andrew's agent hasn't gotten back to him yet, but he mentioned that Andrew's agent will be in town in August. Glen seems perplexed, but not worried about the delay. Listening to Glen, I just can't believe we've offered Andrew for Kyrie. I'll say this. Wiggins should fire his agent. Every day his agent delays signing the max deal puts his client at risk of some injury or accident that would cost his client over $100 million dollars.
4. Glen said the team hasn't yet addressed its 3-point shooting problem from last season, although he's hopeful that Wiggins can help to the extent he improves his three-point shot this summer. As discussed in another thread, Glen mentioned that we have an offer out to a 3-point shooter. According to Glen, that player is waiting to see if he can get a bigger offer from another team.
5. Finally, Glen mentioned the importance of getting off to a good start this season, especially at home, to capitalize and continue the initial enthusiasm among fans following the Butler deal.

That's a good breakdown Lip. I'll add a couple thoughts.
Glen seemed frustrated in general with how long deals tend to take I don't think it was just Wiggins. Duffy is Wiggins agent and so Glen knows him well. Duffy probably has other clients maybe trying to get them deals yet. There probably isn't a huge rush and the Wolves aren't pulling an offer off the table for Wiggins.
Jon K on his last podcast agrees with you Lip he doesn't think Wiggins has been offered either. He thinks it's even less likely than he did a wee ago. He said the Cavs are asking for basically everyone's entire team in return for Kyrie. He said MAYBE the Wolves end up offering Wiggins at some point but he said no way has he been offered yet. He said many people in the Wolves organization are very interested to see Butler with Wiggins and see how that plays out. It reminds me of Thibs declining to do the Butler deal last year and then doing it this year. I think Thibs has this team built the way he wants it and he isn't going to give up a bunch of assets just to get Kyrie and one way or another that's what it would take. Thibs hasn't just given up assets even if they are not ones he is not sold on like Rubio. Jon doesn't think there will be a resolution anytime soon on Kyrie.
Lip did you see the pic of the Wolves players that were at Ryan's wedding?
