Hard pass from me. If he doesn't want to play with Lebron, why would he want to play next to Jimmy and Towns (assuming Wiggins would have to go in a deal)? Send him to Sacramento.

I wouldn't do it either but him and Butler are good friends

Put him in that number 1 spot and his poor decision making and ball hogging really hurts your team's ability to win. Life next to Lebron is easy. If Kyrie was really that good, that team wouldn't fall apart when Lebron rests like it consistently has over the least 3 years.

More then just Lebron

Maybe Lebron is a asshole teammate.Maybe he don't like hearing bran throw his team under the bus,Like when he said trade love for PG or Bulter.... If they trade Kyrie there going to need a PG, So i would offer up Jeff and a 1st and hope they don't hang up..

I have to believe this is more about Lebron's plans to leave than Kyrie's desire to be the man.

I agree, He would not put SA or MN on his list if he was concerned about being 'The Man'

Well the Cavs have had a great offseason haven't they? There is so much to unpack so can't even get through it all. This offseason has been just absolutely crazy.

This has got to be about personality more than anything. Kyrie is a pretty good fit with LeBron. LeBron facilitates so much of the offense, the pressure's off Kyrie to pass so he can concentrate on scoring, although he does like to have the ball in his hands a lot . . .

Still, the big personalities on that team just haven't seemed to mesh. We know LeBron has a big personality that attracts a lot of attention and he has implicitly criticized his teammates before. Love is kind of surly, and so is Kyrie. Those are three great players, but I can see how those three just are not a good match personality-wise. The weird thing is I was listening to the Road Trippin' podcast with Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye this year a bit, and it sounded like LeBron got along with those guys (Richard and Channing) and Kyrie did too, although he's kind of a weird, lonerish kind of guy. But I can see the big three there not getting along.

Man the wheels are just coming off the Cavs this summer. Dan Gilbert really set the wheels in motion badly by letting Griffin go.

If that's the case, why would he ask for the trade now? LeBron's coming back this year. They should be able to take a fourth crack at a title. If LeBron leaves next summer, that would be the time to ask for a trade, right?

I don't know if he does or doesn't want to be "the man," but I definitely get the sense that Kyrie and LeBron don't get along, and I can see Kyrie just wanting out because of that. I mentioned listening to the Road Trippin' podcast which he joined a few times this year. On that podcast, he's capable of being really smart and articulate when he gets somewhat comfortable, but he's also just really a weird guy, saying strange things seemingly just for the sake of saying them. It's like he doesn't really like other people at first, but when he gets going you can tell there's a lot going on in his head, but it also feels kind of fake, like he's playing a role that's not really him. There's a touch of Rondo's lone-wolf personality to Kyrie.

I'll just add a reminder that Kyrie is a flat earth guy.
