He's been great
Re: Pups vs Zion
Been a fun offensive game. Im going to give Ryan some credit and he played 3 straight possessions of zone that helped the wolves on their run

I definitely don't want to see Layman or H-Gomez on the roster next season.
Think you still need to give layman time. Also I get your point on DLO, just think if games ever get important for the wolves I feel like Dlo offensive game translates more. But I love JMAC as the backup center

Yes, we're playing without our best player, KAT. But I just don't see this group developing into a contender. Maybe Wiseman's the answer. Maybe it's someone else.
Layman has to go. The guy struggles with layups - something that's alway been a problem for him. And he's never shot well from behind the arc either as evidenced by his career 3-point stats.
Contender? I'm not convinced this current roster with a healthy KAT can even snag an 8th seed next season. They need some serious help at both forward positions and even then it could be shaky given DLO and KAT's disdain for defense.

Wolves did great on Zion. Of his 13 pts, Zion scored 6 "cherry pick" dunks, 2 put back dunks, a really nice drive dunk and 1 FT (Missed 2).

The reason why im fine to trade the pick for another player or multiple above average role players

Well, I vehemently disagree. I think Russell's pedigree and production would be very much in my favor and I wouldn't say McLaughlin is any better defensively than Russell -- not that either of them will find their way on to any All-Defensive Teams.
I believe you made a similar statement last season when you proclaimed that the team was better with Tyus Jones than Jeff Teague. I think you just really appreciate smart point guard play and it somewhat misleads you into these kinds of takes my friend. The Jones and McLaughlin's of the league are easily replaceable -- evident by Gersson Rosas' ability to do exactly that this past summer.

Whew. That's the boldest take I have ever heard. I think you might be alone on that one. *wink*
I do like J-Mac as our backup point guard on a cheap deal, though.
