Good win yesterday. Perez was solid and Dyson and Romos closed the door at the end of the game.
That Cleveland Boston series has been fun back to back wall offs. Chris Sale reached 2000 strikeouts in that game and he is the guy that's gotten to that number in the fewest innings ever. Devers went 6-6 with 4 doubles for Boston.
Perez only allowed one run and that was his own fault on a throwing error. Marwin came through if he gets rolling that would be something.
I'll continue to enjoy this season becuz the offense is so explosive and so unlike any Twins team I've ever seen in my 35 years of watching. But some things don't change , and that's Twins inability to find ( or pay for) some power arms.

This season is fun. Imo this division race is gonna go down to the wire. The power arms people want may be coming via the minors. 2 of the Twins best pitching prospects throw triple digits. I think this era of Twins baseball is different...and it's a different era in baseball in general. It should be a fun ride for quite a while.
A bunch of numbers that probably tell is what we probably already thing but still interesting. One thing I noticed was Gleeman said he has a below average arm which is the opposite of what Jester reported. I've been kinda watching his throws after Jester made that comment.

I think the bottom of his article says it's all. His floor his a .285 with half a dozen home runs. I don't remember commenting on Arraez arm. I still see him as our starting 2020 2nd basemen no matter what.

IMO It's nice to have both guys. I know Scoop had been on a bit of a hot streak the last few games. How is Arraez in the field? I've heard he doesn't have the best range at 2nd.
He only has -1.2 UZR so his range isn't terrible. To compare this Brian Dozier level. He's supposed to have the strongest arm in the league for a 2nd baseman.
Yankees crushed by Cleveland. The Twins put up plenty of runs against Texas but had some help with some miscues from Texas. Pineda has a solid start in his return.
Marwin has been hot and speaking of hot Jake Cave the last 2 months has been terrific at the plate. Of course that's only including 15 games but I'll take it. :)
After Wednesday the Twins have 35 HRs from their top 2 catchers. Astudillo is on a rehab assignment.

Corrected that. I am glad to see him bounce back. I felt like last year he was close to playing Kepler out of a job.

Nothing to correct he his in July when he was up. I said 15 games played but since the AS break our guy cave is hitting .393 and .471 OBP. Our manager is holding this guy back he should be playing everyday!!!!!! ;)

Oh I see it should say schoop has the strongest arm in the league. Which he does for a 2nd basemen. Just really bad grammar and sentence structure by me.
