Patrick Beverly
Patrick Beverly
I'd love to add him as our "bridge guard". Decent shooter, playmaker and adds much needed toughness. Very good player.

How would you propose we get him?

Re: Patrick Beverly
Well, that was random.....
He's signed for a few more years at $5M per year and is probably Houston's best defensive player. He's the perfect fit next to Harden and is on a great deal. He's not going anywhere.

Re: Patrick Beverly
Literally no way we can get him.
Lavine, wiggins, towns and #7 all way to much value for him.
Gorgui, rubio and Dunn all don't fit the Rockets style of play.
The rest of the team is not getting it done

Re: Patrick Beverly
I just read a report saying the Rockets were looking to move him. Albeit, the source can't be as credible as Lips friend of a friend in the Bulls front office;).
I agree with you guys, I don't see why they would want to move him. 3 team deal involving Rubio. Obviously the Rockets don't need or want Rubio.

Re: Patrick Beverly
Is Morey still in charge there? He's a reported Rubio fan. Not that I want that.

Have no clue why Rockets would want to move Beverley. The guy is one of the best defensive point guards in the league and he's willing to be a dirty work/bulldog type of player, which is perfect next to Harden.
Well, if they do trade him, I hope they send him out East so that our PGs don't have to go up against him more than twice a year. Houston will be worse for it.....

Some rumors are out there... just so the author can get his name out there.
There is NO reason for the Rockets to move Beverley for the reasons noted:
- Great defender.
- Hard-nosed.
- Good three point shooter on a three point shooting team (39% over the past 2 years).
- Popular in Houston
- Only $5M for the next two seasons! It's one of the league's very best contracts.

I believe his name is really only involved in deals to get guys like PG or Butler. Other than that I agree that I don't think he's on the block.

Sure. He's kinda like Jae Crowder in that way. He's a good player on a great contract so he's a nice piece in larger deals.
