If all the Top 6 guys are off the board, I'm intrigued by Frank's potential as much as anyone left. He is one of the youngest guys in the draft and still only 18, is doing well against older players in a proleague and has nearly a 7 foot wingspan. One thing that I heard that was new to me is that some scout thinks Frank can play the 1, 2 or 3. He also can defend well and shoot: "Over the course of three years of games in six different leagues and international competitions, Ntilikina has taken a total of 158 3s (converting at a 42.4 percent clip) "
Any love for Frank?
Re: Any love for Frank?
I'm very intrigued by Frank. The thought of a PG with a 7- foot wingspan and a 3-point shot peaks my interest. But he's such an unknown to me and most of us. I'd love to know what Thibs thinks of him.
Re: Any love for Frank?
I like Frank'n. Most of the people that do write ups say he isn't particularly dynamic. I agree. He is young so he has a chance to grow as a player but right now he looks more like a caretaker at a PG. with his length and if he can shoot and defend that's a nice player. It still seems like a bit of a negative to have a guy that may not look to score a whole lot. He may end up just being a SG and that could diminish his value to some extent.

I know absolutely nothing about him except that his last name is too hard to spell or remember.

The consensus seems to be that he's slow but smart. Speed seems to translate to the NBA as a general rule. I get scared when slow is part of an analysis.

I don't think it's so much that he is slow...he is just so big and he doesn't have an advanced handle. He isn't explosive. The guy might have the length of a SF and can hit 3'a that makes him a complimentary player. It's like having a bigger version of What Dunn was last year with a jumper but not much juice offensively. That could be a good complimentary player but far from a star guy. Or think of D Fisher type offensive player only like 6'5 with a 7' wingspan. lol

I like Frank if we were going to trade down for the right trade (and probably move Rubio in the process and hand the keys to Dunn and Tyus).
There are three key things we need (passing, defense, and 3 point shooting). Frank is really good at 2 of those (a super smart passer I've read and a very good defender) and maybe with the third as well. He's gotta improve his handle if he's going to play the point, but I could easily see him stepping in and playing the 2 or even 3 without any problems. He'd be a great change of pace with LaVine.
He's really young, which is good because his potential is possibly higher, but it also means he'll probably take longer before he can contribute, which is not so good. His freakish length is the sort of thing that could ultimately make him extremely valuable. He's not as long as Giannis, but I could see him being a similar kind of player someday, maybe with a mix of Shaun Livingston (not saying he'll be as good as Giannis, and he'll be a more defensive player than Livingston, but I could see his length making a similar impact).

If I had to guess he's the guy that the Spurs want to draft in the top 10
