Best Undrafted Free Agents

Post by TeamRicky [enjin:6648771] »

Last pick, anyone compile a list of the best UFAs or anyone you think we should sign? Please share. Signings will start happening tonight. I would do so, but my wife wants me to spend some time with her now.

Edit: Here's a link to someone's compiled list based on mocks:

I was going to put Jaron Blossongame on the list but saw he got drafted 59th by Spurs. Spurs and Warriors can find value anywhere. Jeanne and DePaula didn't get drafted. Since they are foreigners can they be signed just like college players that enter the draft or is their a different rule with them? Wisconsin's Nigel Hayes didn't get picked. Neither did Peter Jok of Iowa.

Honestly Oliver was one of the few guys that I really had a strong feeling about looking at the list that was linked. A few guys I know who they are but I'm not dying to get them either. I might be just as interested in guys that are FAs that played in the d-league last year and we could sign as these rookies. They might be a little closer to being able to help if called on. We will see.

FWIW Wolfson said they looked to move into the 2nd so maybe they are being aggressive.

Not as aggressive as the Warriors who bought picks the past 2 years: Patrick McCaw and Jordan Bell.

I thought aintemeber liking him when I saw the name. He is plenty long for a wing and is a volume 3 point shooter with a nice looking stroke and averaged over a block a game. Could be a 3 and D guy.

Agreed. I would have loved to get both of those guys.

Dayton's Charles Cooke has agreed to a free agent contract with the Timberwolves, tweets Chris Haynes of ESPN.com. The 6'5? senior averaged 15.7 points per game with the Flyers this year, but wasn't listed among the Draft Express top 100 prospects.

The Wolves also reached an agreement with Notre Dame senior small forward V.J. Beachem, according to David Aldridge of TNT (Twitter link). Beachem averaged 14.5 points per night and is 67th on the Draft Express list. Neither deal can become official until after July 1st, per league rules.

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/V.J.-Beachem-72544/DraftExpress profile for Beachem. Don't know this kid, but his shooting looks good.
