God DAMN Spurs! Every fucking year they are great, and so many times you think they might be outmatched in the playoffs they somehow pull it out. Yes, having superstars is key, and Kahwi might be my favorite player in the league, but system, culture, and coaching definitely still matter a lot.

I would stay away from Spurs FA's no matter what. Impossible to replicate that culture on another team. You will almost always overpay if you sign one.

That hurt them but they can't get embarrassed at home to the Spurs without Leonard and a 20 year old rookie PG starting against them. That's insane.

It's not just Pop it's the whole organization. Pop and his staff does their job but the front office finds guys too.

I forget who on the announcing crew said it, but that roster has two lottery picks, 4 2nd rounders, and 4 undrafted free agents on it. The rest are non-lottery 1st rounders. Unbelievable......That is without a doubt a total top to bottom organizational culture that pulls that off.
When Buford and Pop hang it up, someone needs to get with them and write a book on organizational culture and leadership. It will sell millions with the MBA set.

Sooooo glad to see Harden and Houston go down hard. After Game 1, San Antonio figured out how to finally defend them and from then on out, Houston looked like a gimmick. Harden could no longer rely on manufacturing fouls or getting easy mis-matches against bigs, yet D'Antoni never adjusted. They just kept on running the same action over and over and over again.

Taking a step back.
114-75
The Spurs held the Rockets to 75 points without their best defender and best player. All things considered that has to be on of the biggest beat downs in sports history and on the road. Unbelievable.

Yeah, that was a dominating performance by a coach that totally "solved" the other team and executed its game plan to perfection.
Not to take away from the Spurs, but Harden and D'Antoni should be embarrassed. Zero adjustments from these guys. They made Pop's job just a little easier.
